III. How Connected to the Past People Feel on Certain Occasions
All respondents were assigned a random number. Based on that random number, some interviewees were asked the indicated follow-up questions if they described a setting as making them feel particularly connected or unconnected to the past by giving it rating of 7-10 or 1-3.

Celebrating holidays. Using the 1 to 10 scale where 1 means not at all connected to the past and 10 means strongly connected to the past, how connected to the past do you generally feel on those occasions?
